There is a particular kind of panic that only exists in restaurants.
The printer goes quiet when it should be screaming. A bartender is waiting on a card reader that has decided tonight is the night it takes a break. A server is holding three plates, two apologies, and one impossible request. The owner is in the back, looking at rising food costs, payroll, and a software bill that keeps growing.
That is the room we are building for.
Not the pitch-deck version of hospitality with smiling cashiers and "frictionless" integrations. The real room. The one you're in every day. Sticky floors, long shifts, expensive mistakes, and internet outages. Most point-of-sale software asks the restaurant to behave nicely so the software can remain simple. We want software that behaves properly when the restaurant gets ugly.
You buy the hardware. You train the staff. You absorb the chargebacks and eat the cost when the system fails. Yet, you still pay the per-terminal fee, the per-location fee, and the third-party integration fees. You are told that the privilege of running your own business depends on staying inside somebody else's cloud and paying ransom prices for durable basics.
You shouldn't be held hostage by the nervous system of your own operation.
We are building NOT A POS to stop the rent-seeking behavior of modern POS systems. We are placing a core bet: a restaurant should own its operational core and you should never have to rely on the cloud to keep the floor moving.
We are laying the load-bearing bones of the system. Here is what we have built to ensure the software respects the work:
The Offline Guarantee
When the internet drops, your restaurant shouldn't come to a halt. If the internet leaves the building, the kitchen still gets tickets, cash still moves, and the terminal doesn't freeze. Your cash drawer and payment state are never held locked down by a provider's server outage.
Ironclad Auditing
We built a sealed record system. You will always know exactly what happened to a ticket and your money. If a refund or adjustment happens, it leaves a clear fingerprint. Managers get the tools they need to fix mistakes, but they cannot erase history.
Role-Based Security
Staff on the floor get a lightning-fast, simple screen designed purely to keep the line moving. We reserved the "dangerous" tools—like refunds, voids, and liability write-offs—strictly for managers. Terminals auto-lock, ensuring that shared screens don't lead to expensive mistakes when the staff is moving fast.
Financial Honesty
Every penny matters to your margin. We built strict rules around your money to protect it. If an order changes, the system forces totals to recalculate before any payment is accepted. We refuse to let card liabilities or unpaid balances disappear quietly into the system. At the end of the shift, we demand that drawer closeouts balance perfectly.
Unhindered Operations
We built a printer system that won't freeze the cashier's screen during a Friday night rush just because a receipt jammed. The software absorbs the hardware mess, so your staff doesn't have to.
This project is not neutral. It has an opinion.
Independent operators deserve systems that do not treat them like extraction targets. You deserve local resilience, true data ownership, and software that understands the difference between a coffee shop lunch rush and a closing manager staring down a drawer that is twenty-three dollars short.
We are building a restaurant operating system that works for the people holding the plates.
